My First Blog Post: Taking the First Rep

When I sat down to write this, my mind was racing. Questions flooded my thoughts: What should I write? Do I have the right to write at all? As I began researching and gathering resources, I realized that I was overthinking this blog thing.

This led me to ponder, how often do we let the pressure to make a grand entrance or to create the biggest splash prevent us from taking action? I know for a fact that I almost fell victim to my own perfectionism. The preoccupation with an internal feeling nearly stopped me from even writing this.

Surely, I cannot be the only person this happens to!

So… here’s my first attempt. Unsure of the topic or the level of technicality, I am simply writing. I am taking my first rep. It’s 2024, and I am just now writing my inaugural blog post. Exciting!

I aim to use this blog as a means to organize my thoughts, build connections, and grow. If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate you!

Moving forward, we must do a better job of recognizing the factors that confine us. Let’s pay attention to the subtle daily habits that may not spark a fire but gradually increase the heat, nudging us closer to outcomes we don’t desire for ourselves and our families. Identify your targets, refine your skills to thrive in your current environment, and start pursuing your goals. Take the shot and give chase.

Take the risk, and either succeed or learn, and try again.
